Cardamom Cacao Rose Bliss Balls

The Sweetest and Prettiest Summertime Snack- Cardamom Cacao Rose Bliss Balls

Summertime invites warmth, energy, enthusiasm and sometimes exhaustion! Sweet, simple, easy to digest snacks can be the perfect afternoon pick-me-up especially if you have been active in the sun.

The sweet taste is a welcome addition to the summer diet as it pacifies excess Pitta dosha, nourishes depleted tissues and adds moisture and suppleness to the body. Sweetness also soothes and calms the mind during times of intensity or exhaustion. The quality and quantity are important to bring to your awareness which is why the Cardamom Cacao Rose Bliss Balls offer a tiny treat, with high quality ingredients like soaked dates and nuts to support the body and mind.

In an earlier post we shared our Simple variation of the Ojas Bliss Balls as well as our Sesame Ojas Bliss Balls which offer a rich and deeply nourishing experience. We find this variation to be extra special with the addition of rose petals either to the rolling of the ball itself or sprinkled outside for a pretty coating. See the  Recipe Video here.

Best to consume Bliss Balls is when Agni is Balanced

Seriously, these are delicious. However moderation is key to keeping them a support of health and not a cause of imbalance. Be sure you are hungry when consuming heavier foods or sweet treats to allow the digestive system to properly utilize the nutrients so they become healthy tissues and not an accumulation of undigested food. Immediately after a cleanse program these may be hard or heavy to digest; but as agni (digestive fire) increases and stabilizes they make the perfect afternoon snack or breakfast bite to sustain energy, support tissue strength and pack immune boosting rejuvenation for body as a whole.

The qualities of ojas are similar to Kapha dosha being sweet, cooling, heavy, oily, sticky, smooth, soft and gross. If agni is balanced these qualities of healthy ojas producing foods are processed and create healthy tissues. If agni is compromised they will not be digested and can create excess Kapha in the system. Unsure if Ojas Bliss Balls are right for you?
