Deliciously Digestible: Stewed Breakfast Pears for a Cozy Fall Morning

We often receive inquiries about the suitability of fruit for breakfast. In an era where smoothies are all the rage, the question becomes even more pertinent to address! Sweet fruits undoubtedly provide delicious flavors and nourishment, but when combined in certain ways or served cold, they can be quite heavy to digest. Cue our deliciously digestible Stewed Breakfast Pears! In a previous article, we comprehensively explore the Ayurvedic perspective on smoothies and tap into ancient wisdom of the texts to unravel the secrets. But when is the best time to eat fruit for breakfast?

When it comes to fruit, the golden rule is to pair like with like. Keep your berries together, melons with melons, and stone fruits with their stone fruit pals. And if you happen to find yourself in the Northern Region during the fall season, there’s truly nothing quite like sinking your teeth into a freshly picked apple or pear, ripe right from the tree. Starting your day with sweet fruits can be an absolute delight, and our recommendation is to enjoy them solo when your hunger strikes to optimize your body’s digestive capacity for swift absorption. To top it off, we’ve got a delightful recipe that’s perfect for a mid-morning family treat everyone is sure to love.
